Grip the barbell with a simple, one-sided or lock grip. Feet on the line of the hips, socks turned to the sides. The knees are slightly bent, the torso is tilted forward. The spine is straightened, the head looks forward. Raise the bar to knee level. This will be your starting position. With a sharp jerk, lift the bar up while squatting, in order to soften the acceleration of the bar. While squatting, push your chest forward so that it is under the bar. Perform an overhead barbell press. The arms should be fully extended. Return to the starting position by lowering the barbell to knee level. Control the movement of the bar throughout the entire exercise.
