Choose a dumbbell of a suitable weight for you and hold it in your hand. The free hand should rest on something stable to give the body balance during the exercise. Stand up straight. Keeping your body straight, slowly raise the dumbbell to your side as you exhale. The arm is slightly bent at the elbow. Hold the dumbbell in the up position for 1-2 seconds. As you inhale, slowly lower the dumbbell down. Do the exercise with the other hand.
