There is a common misconception that the secret to well-developed abs is doing an enormous number of crunches every day. In fact, this is not the case. To have defined abs, you need to reduce your body fat to a level at which the muscles can show through. If your abs are covered with fat, no amount of sit-ups or crunches will help – you first need to lose the fat.
In addition to exercises, you need to adhere to the principles of clean eating, or at least change your diet in that direction. Abs are a result of what you eat. It all starts with proper nutrition.
To achieve defined abs, the following technique is used: ab workouts are performed 2-3 times per week for 15 minutes, with 2 days of rest between workouts. Great abs do not require endless training – this simple approach is enough.
