Stand up straight. Shoulder bar. Legs are widely spaced, socks to the sides. This will be your starting position. Lower yourself down, bending one knee and moving it to the side, as shown in the figure. The other leg should be almost straight. Breathe in during this movement. As you exhale, return to the starting position, pushing off the floor with your feet and tensing the muscles of the bent leg.
