Place a strap, band, or rope around your foot. Move that leg forward a little.
The leg in front remains straight, bend the supporting leg. Lift the toe of the front leg off the floor and pull it towards you.
Using the strap, pull the sock towards you, increasing the tension, stretching the muscles. Hold this position for 10-20 seconds, then repeat the stretch with the other leg.
