Description
Craig Capurso is an atypical bodybuilder who approaches training intelligently and eats at an expert level. A former football player, he transitioned to fitness modeling and IFBB in the "Athleticism" category. His training style has changed: he no longer uses the "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" principle but instead employs volume training with short rest periods, maximally heavy weights, and sets of 100 repetitions of a single exercise.
Craig values spontaneity and flexibility in training. He uses boxing techniques for cardio, which both strengthens his heart and develops strength. His workouts are varied: jumps, running around the gym, lunges, and intense work until sweating. The gym is his second home, a place where a bad day becomes good. He calls it his church or holy place.
He trains with free weights, trying to stretch every muscle fiber in the working group. Previously, he trained with heavy weights and low repetitions, becoming stronger but without muscle pain. Now his new volume training strategy involves finishing off each muscle group and working on his weak points to create a more aesthetic appearance. Muscle pain for him is a signal that they are damaged, and he needs to work even harder the following week to increase his lactic acid threshold. He reminds us: there are no weights on stage, only how you look.
Craig's strongest body parts are his quadriceps and back, thanks to his football background. His weakest are his calves, which he plans to pay more attention to on a regular basis.
